Consultation period on the proposal to cease LBT funding - There's still time to have your views heard!

Dear Members

We are nearing the end of the consultation period on the proposal to cease LBT funding (the funding that currently funds our children's sessions).

Thank you to everyone that has completed the questionnaire and given your feedback on the impact this will have on you and your families. All replies will inform the report to Cabinet in May.

There are three separate questionnaires aimed at different groups – one each for parent carers, children and young people, and practitioners/providers. As these did not all go live at the same time, they will also end on different dates to ensure each group has a full 8 week consultation period:

Parents and carers                             28th January – 25th March

Practitioners                                      4th February – 1st April

Children and Young People                 11th February – 8th April

We would like to ask anyone that hasn't given their views to complete the online questionnaire at:

http://www3.lancashire.gov.uk/corporate/consultation/responses/response.asp?ID=362

Alternatively you can contact Sarah Deady directly on 01772 538 077 and she will post you a paper form.

So far LCC have had only a few replies from children and young people (CYP). Whilst they would expect fewer from this group, some parents may not be aware their children can also take part in the consultation. A copy of the CYP questionnaire is attached below.

Thank you for your support.
